Every piece offered through True to Sole Edit is authenticated before it reaches its new owner, with its condition and identifying details documented as clearly as possible.
Every piece comes with its Vaultik digital certificate, issued before dispatch at the latest, and you can verify it yourself.
How we authenticate
Authentication is not one detail. It is the combination of many.
Materials, craftsmanship, hardware, stitching, markings, serial details and construction all contribute to the assessment of a luxury piece.
Our authentication process combines product review with independent digital verification through Vaultik.

The piece is reviewed
Each bag is assessed through the details that matter to its Maison and model, including materials, construction, stitching, hardware, stamps, markings and serial or date information where applicable.
The objective is simple: understand the piece properly before it is offered to a client.

Independent verification by Vaultik
We also authenticate pieces through Vaultik, an independent specialist authentication provider.
Vaultik uses detailed imagery and multi-agent AI analysis to examine brand-specific characteristics, materials, craftsmanship and identifying details, with human expert review adding an additional verification layer.
This independent assessment creates another layer of confidence between the piece and its new owner.

Condition is documented
Authenticity tells you what a piece is.
Condition tells you what life it has already lived.
We document the condition of each piece and highlight relevant signs of wear so you can understand what you are buying before it arrives.
Our condition grades are:
- New
- Brand new, never used.
- Like New
- Like new, with barely any signs of use.
- Excellent
- Slight signs of use.
- Very Good
- Some signs of use.
- Good
- Normal signs of use, with some flaws and light soiling.
- Fair
- Obvious signs of use, with some flaws and soiling.
- Well Worn
- Very obvious signs of use, with obvious flaws, soiling and damage.

Digital certificate
Every piece comes with its digital authenticity certificate from Vaultik.
The certificate creates a record connected to the piece and includes identifying information and the result of its authentication.
Where available, the certificate can also be viewed directly from the product page before purchase.

Your digital certificate provides a record of the authentication associated with your piece, including its identifying details and supporting imagery.
